Introduction from CEO

Welcome to our al khaliji website. We hope you find that your time spent with us is interesting and insightful. As some of you may be aware, we have set about growing a next generation bank: a bank where customers and levels of service come first. We have listened to what you want to experience from your bank and we are responding to that.

Some companies ignore values to focus on short term profits, but at al khaliji we believe that it’s not just what, but also how we do something that’s important. And yes, that does mean we do things differently. We want to put the buzz back into banking, offering our customers, shareholders, staff and suppliers something exciting and new, yet still well connected to our regional focus in the Gulf.

As you would expect we are growing rapidly with 240 staff added in just one year from over 30 different countries. 2007 was a great foundation year for al khaliji, one that put the company on the map. Our clear business strategy aimed at capturing growth in the region will continue to create value and we have the dedication and loyalty of our people, the support of our shareholders, the trust of our customers and the wisdom of our Board to thank for all of this.
