H.E Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal Bin Thani Al-Thani joined al khaliji in February 2009.

His Excellency, widely known in the region and regarded as one of Qatar’s most influential business figures, brings an enviable track record to al khaliji.

His Excellency has held a number of prominent positions, including the post of Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, and Vice Chairman at Qatar National Bank (QNB).

Other senior positions previously held by His Excellency include:

  • Chairman of Qatar General Organization for Standard & Metrology
  • Member of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs & Investment
  • Director of Customs Department
  • Heir Apparent Office, Diwan Al Amiri

His Excellency is also a very active member of the Qatar business community. In addition to his post as Chairman and Managing Director of al khaliji, His Excellency holds the following key positions:

  • Board Member, Qatar Insurance Company (QIC)

His Excellency holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science.

Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Al-Misnad

Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Al-Misnad

Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Misnad is the Chairman & Managing Director of Al Misnad Holding Company having its roots in the private sector business since 1950's.

The Al Misnad Holding Company has ensured continuous growth through its commitment to quality, detail, service & people and provides a highly technical and professional base to meet today’s rapid state of development and industrialization. It owns and manages several companies with diverse business activities that play its full part in promoting economic growth and development of the State of Qatar.

Mr. Saif Al-Madfaa

Non-Executive Member, representative of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatar)

Mr Issam  Khalaf

Mr. Al-Madfaa is currently the Acting Director of the internal audit department of the Qatar Investment Authority, including the Qatar Holding.

Mr. Al-Madfaa has an extensive experience within government and semi-government organisations at leading positions in internal audit, regulatory audits, finance and employee affairs.

Upon receiving his Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Cairo, Mr. Al-Madfaa joined the State Audit Bureau as Senior Auditor. He then joined the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment in Qatar in a senior management role as Head of Employee Affairs and has supported Finance and Administration affairs Department. In 2006, after formation of the Qatar Investment Authority he was appointed as the Head of Payments at the Finance Department before taking on his present role in 2011.

Mr. Abdulsalam Al-Murshidi

Non-Executive Member, representative of Nawras Company (Oman)

Abdulsalam Al-Murshidi

Mr. Al Murshidi is the Chairman of "Rawasi Oman Investments", and manages diversified investments in the industrial, infrastructure, general services, and mining sectors. He has held other significant positions such as CEO of Oman Investment Corporation, Corporate Affairs Manager of Oman LNG, Managing Director in Al Amjad Trading and Vice President in Muscat College. Also, he founded various industrial, commercial and investment companies in the region. Currently he Chairs and member of Boards of Directors of many companies in Oman and the GCC. Mr. Al Murshidi is a qualified geologist and an expert in petroleum exploration. He holds Master degree in Petroleum Geology and a Bachelor degree in Geophysics.

Mr. Hisham Al-Saie

Non-Executive Member, representative of Union Investment House (Bahrain)

Mr. Al-Saie is a representative of Union Investment House S.P.C.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Al Saie was Head of Corporate Finance at SICO Investment Bank, where he was responsible for structuring key local and regional equity and debt capital market transactions. He also held previous positions at BDO Jawad Habib, PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Al-Saie is a Board Member and a member of the Audit & Remuneration Committees of Nass Corporation B.S.C. He is also a Board member of Health Island B.S.C(c), Manara Development B.S.C (c), Diyyar Al-Muharraq B.S.C (c), BMI Bank B.S.C (c), Amar Holding Company B.S.C (c), and Capital Management House B.S.C. (c).

He holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Texas and has attended a number of executive education courses at INSEAD and other reputable institutions.


Mr.Mohammed bin Khaled Al Mana

Mohammed bin Khaled Al Mana

Mohammed is a Qatari national and an active member of the business, academic and tourism industries. Mohammed is a Vice Chairman of Salam Bounian, board member of Salam International. His many senior appointments have included the presidency of both Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gulf Tourism Committee.

Educated in the US, Mohammed took a degree in Financial Management at Indiana State University.

His business interests also include Al Mana & Partners, established in 1959, Qatar Cleaning Co., established in 1979 and Al Mana Engineering & Contracting Company, established in 1960. His public service work also saw him serve for three years as a board member of the Supreme Education Council of Qatar until 2006.

Mr. Rashid Al-Naimi

Non-Executive Member, representative of Qatar Foundation (Qatar)

Mohammed bin Khaled Al Mana

Mr. Al-Naimi is presently the Vice President of Administration for the Qatar Foundation. He carries portfolio responsibility for the administrative and operational functions of the Foundation, including the shared services areas of: Finance, Procurement, Information Technology, Human Resources, Support Services, Business Improvement and Quality Management Systems.

In addition, Mr. Al-Naimi is currently the residing Chairman for Mazaya Qatar, MEEZA (including the role of CEO), Knowledge Ventures (KV) and Gulf Bridge International (GBI). He is also a Board Member representing Qatar Foundation across a number of companies including Vodafone Qatar.

Mr. Al-Naimi’s career has developed over the past twenty years. He is a natural leader and has maintained roles in Senior Management for over a decade. Prior to joining Qatar Foundation, Mr. Al-Naimi was the Manager of Human Resources for RasGas Company Limited, responsible for maintaining human capital numbers as the plant executed a major program to increase margins by doubling production and fixing head-count.

Mr. Al-Naimi has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Indiana State University, USA and continues to drive for personal and professional excellence.
