Doha, March 1, 2010 : al khaliji plans to increase opportunities for Qatari graduates by launching the Qatari banking sectors first Professional Development Programme (PDP).

New Qatari graduates and graduates with less than one year's work experience, in addition to Qataris with special needs, will have the chance to develop a well planned career path in the banking sector. Graduates accepting to join al khaliji PDP will benefit from an outstanding opportunity to explore new frontiers and succeed professionally with al khaliji.

The bank's growth in Qatar and its international success in the UAE and France has led to the planned introduction of its PDP graduate training scheme which will further increase the percentage of Qatari Nationals already in the al khaliji workforce

Graduates joining the al khaliji PDP become young professional bankers through a 9-month in-depth training and work experience programme with an assigned coach to guide them as their career progresses.

An initial 3-month intensive training period ensures PDP graduates understand banking industry fundamentals and the critical skills needed to succeed at al khaliji.

Then a 6-month work experience in an al khaliji department equips the graduate with an understanding of their future role within the bank so they are prepared and ready to begin their al khaliji career after successfully completing the PDP.
