Doha, 7 July 2010: In recognition of its continued success in the syndicated loan market, al khaliji, next generation bank, was invited to present a keynote speech at the first "Bonds & Loans Middle East" conference held in Dubai.

Paul Maguire, Unit Head, Corporate and Institutional Banking at al khaliji was a keynote speaker on a panel of industry professionals discussing the future direction of bond and loan markets for companies based in the GCC.

Discussions centered around the GCC borrowers and issuer's ability to access the international debt markets despite the extremely challenging global market conditions. Recent successful international issuance by Qatari issuers is a reflection of international investors continued appreciation of the strength of Qatar and its companies.

"Bonds & Loans Middle East" targeted the region's leading CEO's, CFO's, Treasurers, Finance Directors, Institutional Investors, Fund Managers, Private Equity Houses, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Debt Capital Market Bankers.

Providing a forum for market participants to discuss and debate current and future developments within the Debt Capital Markets and how they affect the GCC region, the conference was sold out with over 200 representatives from leading regional and international Corporate, Financial Institutions and Asset Managers attending the conference, including representatives from Qatar's premier companies.
